Sculptra® injections

Sculptra® is used in hollowed out areas from 40 - 50 years of age due to loss of fat: temples, valley of tears, cheekbones, cheeks, chin, etc. and to fill in the bitterness folds or the nasolabial folds.

Sculptra is not suitable for areas where the skin is too thin such as the eye area, the perioral area, the forehead or crow's feet.

The doctor injects the mixture of water and Sculptra® into the deep dermis, the subcutaneous layer or directly into contact with the bone. He treats the face as a whole in a three-dimensional plan to redistribute the volumes and do a complete facelift.

The injections are not very painful. If the patient wishes, the doctor can do local anaesthesia to make the session more comfortable.

The treatment includes 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. A session lasts 20 to 30 minutes. Immediately after the session, the volume injected immediately fills the hollow areas. After the absorption of the water in the product, there may be a slight depression before the tissues gradually restructure when the patient begins to make their own collagen.

Patients can resume their daily activities immediately after the session. Some redness, edema or swelling may occur after the injections, but will disappear after 1 to 2 weeks.

After the injections, the skin should be massaged twice a day for 7 days to optimize the results and allow a uniform distribution of the product.

Sculptra® gives a youthful appearance to the face. Collagen is stimulated, volumes are restored and the face regains the harmony it had lost with a healthy glow over a period of time. The result lasts 2 to 3 years.
