If a woman has a BFI between 33 and 38 %, she is overweight. 39 % or over, and she is obese. For a man, the BFI should be between 20 and 25 % for him to be considered overweight. Above that he is obese.
In 2015, in France, 54 % of men and 44 % of women were overweight or obese.
