What shape is your nose? There are many different types of noses and the good news is that all of them can be treated with cosmetic surgery.
There are 7 main categories of noses.

- Flat nose: this nose is short and flat, particularly at the bottom (nostrils).
- Hooked hose: this nose is bent with a bump on the bridge.

- Pug nose: this nose is short and flat in shape.
- Aquiline nose: this nose, which is usually thin, is reminiscent of an eagle's beak. It is shaped like a convex curve. The tip of the nose points towards the bottom of the face.

It is now possible to reconstruct your nose as part of a cosmetic procedure.
Nasal reconstruction: what are the origins of your nose shape?
Most patients choose to undergo surgery because they want to change the shape of their nose.
The morphology of the nose is completely natural. Its shape originates from the patient's genetics.
But your nose is a vulnerable part of your face. Composed mainly of cartilage, muscle tissue and skin, it can be altered as a result of an accident or removed because of a tumour.
Whatever the shape of your nose, whether it is natural or the result of an accident, cosmetic surgery offers practical solutions to reshape your nose.
Nasal reconstruction: surgery or injections?
Cosmetic surgery is the most well-known solution to get rid of your insecurities and feel good again. There are different techniques that are adapted to your needs, depending on the results you want.
Rhinoplasty is the most common surgical procedure. It involves changing your nose’s aesthetic. The aim is to give you the most natural result possible to meet your expectations as far as possible. There are two types of rhinoplasty. The first, cosmetic rhinoplasty corrects defects in your nose structure and the second corrects deformities caused by an accident or aesthetic trauma. This is known as restorative rhinoplasty.
However, there are less invasive, less radical procedures available. Medical rhinoplasty involves injecting hyaluronic acid or other plumping products (hyaluronic acid, Radiesse® or Ellansé®) into your nose to help reshape it.
